McDonnel Douglas MD-83
Heart Of Iceland livery.
he MD-83 (DC-9-83) is a longer range version of the basic MD-81/82 with higher weights, more powerful engines, and increased fuel capacity. The MD-83 features increased fuel capacity as standard (to 6,970 US gal (26,400 l)) which is carried in two 565 US gal (2,140 l) auxiliary tanks located fore and aft of the centre section. The aircraft also has higher operating weights, with MTOW increased to 160,000 lb (73,000 kg) and MLW to 139,500 lb (63,300 kg). Typical range for the MD-83 with 155 passengers is around 2,504 nautical miles (4,637 km). To cope with the higher operating weights, the MD-83 incorporates strengthened landing gear including new wheels, tires and brakes, changes to the wing skins, front spar web and elevator spar cap and strengthened floor beams and panels to carry the auxiliary fuel tanks. From MD-80 line number 1194, an MD-81 delivered in September 1985, it is understood that all MD-80s have the same basic wing structure and in theory could be converted to MD-83 standard. In total GoldenJet ordered 3 of these aircraft, but later sold 2 of them to Golden Moose Airways and bought 2 new Boeing 757-217W's.
Gulfstream Aerospace G550 Commercial
GJ300SM
The Gulfstream G500 and G550 are business jet aircraft produced by General Dynamics' Gulfstream Aerospace unit, located in Savannah, Georgia,USA. They are variants of the Gulfstream V. There were nine G500s, and 198 G550s in active service as of January 2009. The G550, a variant of the Gulfstream V, initially named Gulfstream V SP, was released to the market in 2003. It has increased performance. Range is increased to 6,750 nautical miles (12,500 km), mostly due to reductions in aerodynamic drag. The Gulfstream 550 has the longest flight range in its class. Additionally, this aircraft has a "PlaneView" cockpit, which consists of 4 Honeywell DU-1310 EFIS screens, a Gulfstream-designed cursor control system, and an Enhanced Vision System (EVS). EVS is an infrared camera that displays an image of the view in front of the camera on a head up display. The system permits the aircraft to land in lower-visibility instrument meteorological conditions than a non-EVS-equipped aircraft. This aircraft may be distinguished from the legacy Gulfstream V by a seventh passenger window on both sides of the aircraft, and by the square outflow valve on the aircraft right side as compared to the circular one on the GV. More than 182 Gulfstream G550 aircraft have been produced as of 2008. GoldenJet received 2 of those from Royal Airways [now defunct], of which the company was a subsidiary of. GoldenJet fully reworked the planes into commercial versions.
Bombardier BD-100 Challenger 300
The Bombardier BD-100 Challenger 300 is a super-mid-sized jet capable of traversing transcontinental distances. It is not developmentally related to the similarly named Challenger 600-series, or the 600-derived Challenger 800-series. The project was launched at the Paris Air Show on July 13, 1999, at which time it was called the Bombardier Continental. It was a "clean sheet" design, assembled in Bombardier's Learjet plant at Wichita Mid-Continent airport, Kansas. The jet was renamed in September 2002 after much debate about which category {Learjet, Challenger, or Global} the new aircraft fit into. It entered commercial service in January 2004. The aircraft were ordered by GoldenJet on July 26th, 2014, and delivered on the 28th of the same month. The aircraft are now remodeled and ready for service as commercial jets.
Boeing 787-8S "SolarJet"
The 787-8 is the base model of the 787 family, with a length of 186 feet {57 m} and a wingspan of 197 feet [60 m] and a range of 7,650 to 8,200 nautical miles {14,170 to 15,190 km}, depending on seating configuration. It is the first of the 787 variants, and the third Boeing widebody after the 747SP and the 777-200LR with a wingspan wider than the length of the fuselage. The 787-8 seats 242 passengers in a three-class configuration. The variant entered service in 2011. Boeing is targeting the 787-8 to replace the 767-200ER and 767-300ER.
In April of 2013, GoldenJet has proposed the Boeing 787-8S, a solar-cell fitted Boeing 787-8. The solar cells are ultra-lightweight thin-film, laboratorically engineered to have maximum efficiency. The total weight of the panels/add. wiring is about 98kg. To avoid aerodynamic drag, the panels are hidden under protective glass covering made of the same general material as the fuselage itself. In total, the solar cells can save about 2000KG of fuel and weight per flight. Night flight is lowering the MTOW by 295kg. GoldenJet is the start customer of the variant, having ordered 12.

The New GoldenJet Seat
We call it the GoldenSeat. Definitely possible to call this seat an engineering marvel. Made of 100% recyclable, cheap carbon materials, this seat is more recyclable and cheaper than any other seat in the industry. Thus, we can afford to give you incredibly cheap prices on our flights. We completely redesigned the way you see getting into a low-cost airliner.
The cramped economy class on low-cost airliners, noisy, creepy-sounding landing gear, hundreds of babies crying when in reality there are just two in the plane, plastic interiors everywhere painted with ugly ads of the airline, which you absolutely don't need.
Well, that is kind-of old. Too old, to be honest. You pay us 50€ for a flight in an ultra-comfortable, re-modeled business jet. Can you feel the smell? Can you feel the atmosphere?
Each row has it's own micro-climate. Oh, and no more cramping. The seats can fit the biggest, the smallest, and the ones in the middle. There is enough space for even the biggest hand. Why are you still reading this? Take a look at the pictures below.
